One of my favourite things to photograph is cathedrals. this is because of how fascinating I find the architecture. Every time I walk into a cathedral I'm stunned by the detail of the building. the time and skill it must have taken to make these beautiful pieces of art are simply incredible.
There are so many details that you just can't take it all at once and I often find myself looking back at photos and finding a significant detail that id never noticed before, whether its the pattern on the ceiling or the warm light shining through the stained windows.
Although I am not a religious person myself I admire the religious buildings and the love and time that has gone into designing them. The fact that these buildings have withheld hundreds of years through war and redevelopment amazes me.
I only hope that my images can display the true beauty of these magnificent cathedrals.
